1.0"Just checked oil and was still down 1 quart after I requested fill and bill indicated fluids were checked and filled. Just changed snow tires and rear lug nuts had been torqued over 200ft-lbs after the rear break job (very difficult to remove even with large breaker bar; not to mention my concern now over the condition of the wheel nuts). The battery was replaced and I just checked and the cover while filing the oil and discoverfed it is completely broken off at the plastic hinge. I payed $600 to replace a battery and sparkplugs - seems pretty expensive. The extended maintenance would cover the sparkpugs at 100k but they only lasted 37K to the point the car wouldn't start. I have owned and worked on cars for 40 years and this is the first time I had a complete failure of spark pluds where the car wouldn't run. I would like Mini USA to explain why this happened." Sometimes while cranking with very low voltage, the coils cannot supply enough voltage to the spark plugs to ignite the air/fuel in the combustion chamber. This will cause the spark plugs to foul.. For vehicles that sit for an extended amount of time, we recommend a battery tender to ensure proper battery voltage, especially over the winter months. On this most recent visit, I told Tom I was in a bit of a time crunch because I had to get to an appointment and he expedited my service and checked in with me frequently. I really appreciated that a lot. I drive almost 2 hours to get to Keeler (it's the closest Mini dealer to me) and basically have to make a day of it so I am happy that it was a bit of a shorter day this time! Thanks Tom!" He agreed to fix them, but when I got the car back, one of the two scratches didn't even look like it had been fixed. I don't have time to send the car back in for even more work."
